How to Grow Paper White's Indoors

Growing lovely Paper White bulbs indoors is a fun fall or winter project. There are many varieties and colors available, so they can accent any décor, table and room. Bulbs are little storehouses of energy, so they do not require fertilizers and soil. Mosser Lee Decorator Series Polished Stones, Rocks and Gravels provide the best environment to grow these beautiful indoor plants.

Have fun and watch how fast they grow!

1.  Find a bowl or flat bottomed vase that provides enough room for the stone media and the bulbs. (Use the photographs below to provide some guidance.)

2.  Place Mosser Lee's Polished Stones or River Gravel in the bottom of the bowl.

3.  Arrange the bulbs with the tops up around the stones. The bulbs can touch one another, but should not be stacked on top of one another.

4.  Add tap water so that the bottoms of the bulbs are covered. Make sure that the tops of the bulbs are not covered with water.

5.  As the bulbs sprout and the water evaporates, replenish water to maintain original level.

6.  Watch the bulbs grow. You may be surprised at how quickly they flourish!

7.  When the flowers die, remove the bulbs from the vase, cut the stalks to the top of the bulb, dry the bulb in a airy, sunny location (a window sill is perfect) and store in a cool dark area. The bulbs will become dormant and can be used again the following year.
